Do I need to upgrade my MediSoft?
You need to have at least Version 7 of MediSoft for PaperlessDoc.  You do not need a newer version.

I've heard about electronic billing that works with print files saved to disk.  Is this one of those?
No.  PaperlessDoc reads the MediSoft data files.

Which carriers does it send to?
PaperlessDoc sends to all carriers.

Click on our Payer List link. We send claims free to carriers marked 'PAR'. 'NON' carriers charge 21¢ per claim.

For carriers not on the list, we print, stuff, and mail paper claims for 42¢ per claim. That's only 3¢ more than the cost of a stamp!

How does it work?
You enter your claims into MediSoft and make them Ready to Send.  PaperlessDoc edits the claims; it prints a list of errors, such as missing birthdates and addresses so you can fix them before sending the claims. 

You send the clean claims to Emdeon, where they are sent over night to the carriers.  First thing in the morning, Medicare, Aetna , Cigna, and hundreds of other carriers have your claims in their computers, ready to be processed!

You download your Emdeon report the next day, reports from carriers come the day after that.

What do we do if there is a problem?
Call Emdeon with requests to have reports re-queued. Call us with questions about rejections and technical issues.

Either way, you'll get a helpful person, not a hold button.
